Nobody told me that my 21st year in this plane of existence would make me religious. How absurd! And yet, it happened.
Something happened. I don't know what it is yet. I am looking forwards to my life. I am constantly amazed at how things grow and change and breathe; how the shape of a sparrow sitting on a branch can inspire me to stand there for 5 minutes wondering what it's thinking about. I am not religious, but I think I've been seeing God everywhere lately.

I've decided to double major in Biology and Literary Arts. I am immeasurably happy. So happy so happy. Bursting with happiness.
And! I will have time to continue learning Japanese.
3.
I'm not sure why I am experiencing religious epiphanies now.
4.
Everyone should read Guimaraes Rosa.
(I think it was after reading stories from Sagarana, and after The God's Script by Borges, that this happened. On my birthday, I predicted an internal alchemical change, but nothing this drastic.)
5.
Please, if you've had any epiphanies, revelations, wondrous moments, (speaking of moments...*) please leave a comment.

I had a moment in the bathroom when I was washing my hands and there was a shaft of spring light falling into the sink -- the soap was falling onto the light and it was beautiful because the tap was running and the water was sparkling and the bubbles were sparkling. Then I put my hands under the water and I was expecting it to be warm, but it was not; it was ice-cold and refreshing, and the light now fell on my fingers. And --
but I think you had to experience it yourself.

If you can't laugh at yourself, you don't have the right to laugh at anyone else.

To twist one purest cause
Into an honest verse,
Itself, a call to angels.
The saddened lips of song that
Kiss away our innocence
From the vile mundane.

I still need to take a look at the revision of that poem! (not this week, unfortunately, nor next week), but perhaps when I have time...
Hope all is well for you!
